FEES & MEDICARE REBATES

-
I aim to provide therapy at a fee that you can afford.
-
The full fee for each session (46-60 minutes) has been kept at $200 for several years, well below the current Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee of $314.
-
If you have a referral from your GP and a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), the current rebate is $145.25 per session (gap payment of $54.75).
-
If you are in receipt of a Centrelink pension, the discounted fee is $175 (gap payment of $29.75).
-
Your Medicare rebate is paid directly back into your debit/savings card account immediately.
-
Bulk Billing is available for those clients in difficult financial situations.
-
If you have private health insurance, you can obtain a rebate and won't need a MHCP. The amount available depends on the rules and rebate limits of your private health fund. You can use private health insurance or Medicare rebates but not for the same session.
-
Appointments can be booked online (refer to the menu above).
-
For new clients, when you make your first booking, you will be emailed an online self-assessment of your current level of psychological distress (CORE-OM). This assessment is completed again after 6 sessions (when a treatment review is sent to your GP) to see if your psychological distress has improved.
-
Please provide a copy of your GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) before or at your first session.
