FEES & MEDICARE REBATES

We aim to provide therapy at a fee that is affordable for all clients.

From July 1st 2026, the general fee for a clinical psychologist is $220 for review sessions and $270 for the initial sessions.

If you have a GP referral and a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), the Medicare rebate from July 1st is $149.05 (gap payment of $70.95). The typical fee in Australia for clinical psychology ranges from $260-$350.

The MHCP covers 10 sessions per calendar year. If you have private health insurance that includes psychology, you can claim additional sessions through your insurance.

The fee for a 30 minute session is $150 (gap payment $48.45).

If you are unable to pay the gap payment, a lower fee can be negotiated.

If you have a GP referral, please provide a copy with your (MHCP) before or at your first session.

Referrals from other funding sources (NDIS, RTWSA, ADF, Insurance Companies & other agencies are usually paid at a higher fee, as set by those agencies in accordance with Australian standards but you are not the service for you is uaually free.
